Kingston is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire with over 6,000 residents. Kingston is one of the oldest communities in New Hampshire and it has rich historical and cultural heritage. There are several historical buildings in the town including the house of Josiah Bartlett, who was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and Articles of Confederation, the first Governor of New Hampshire and a Chief Justice.
Kingston is well known for its 44-acre Kingston State Park featuring outdoor fireplaces, picnic areas, a playground, a softball field, and three game areas for volleyball and horseshoes. Residents and visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking or swimming in Kingston Lake, Great Pond or the Powwow River. There are several events held throughout the year in the town, such as a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and an Easter egg hunt.
